Video Hook-Up: The Last Shadow Puppets – “The Age of the Understatement”

If you’re a fan of The Last Shadow Puppets [Official Site, MySpace], the “super group” featuring Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane of The Rascals, you might be bummed to find out that the band will not be touring until October. Sucks, eh?

The Last Shadow Puppets – “The Age of the Understatement” [mp3]

Well, to make it up to you, Alex Turner and his other “project,” Arctic Monkeys, have been hard at work on their third album. Turner told the BBC in an exclusive interview [link] that the band were demoing material in January and hope to start recording sometime this Summer. This brings me such glee as I sit here at my big ol’ desk right now, that I cannot stop smiling.

You know that I loved The Last Shadow Puppets’ single, we featured in last Thursday’s mixtape [link] because it was so awesome. Either way, I am happy. Yes, AM were/are overrated because people couldn’t stop talking about them, something I am noticing with The Last Shadow Puppets as well. Honestly people, if something is fun and kicks ass, why not just dance along?

STFU and stop taking everything so seriously, mmm kay?
