“Fresh Born” is the first single from the new Deerhoof [Official Site, Myspace] record, Offend Maggie.

Back in July, Deerhoof gave away the sheet music [link] so that aspiring musicians and fans alike could create their own version of the song, which could be uploaded to that same webpage. Well, after hearing all those twisted and (sometimes) odd versions of the tune, Deerhoof’s version of “Fresh Born” has finally been shared as well. This type of lateral thinking makes me super tingly inside. I wish I had come up with the idea, frankly.

Offend Maggie is out October 7th on Kill Rock Stars.
