Daily Linkage - Friday

Today was an especially long and brutal Friday (broken up by the fantastic I Rock, I Roll CMJ party at Rehab), so I really don’t think that the weekend could come soon enough. I am heading out to one last show tonight with our own Elie Perler, so let’s start this schizz right.

The grand daddies of nasty party rap, 2 Live Crew, are performing at Santos Party House Saturday night. Holy shit. [Brooklyn Vegan]

Q-Tip performed at VH1 Soul Stage and All That’s Fab got to check it out. Color me effing jealous. [ATF]

Man Man covered a track by Etta James (whose “At Last” was going to be my wedding song until Tracy agreed with me that Solomon Burke’s “Don’t Give Up On Me” was the best song evar~!) and you need to check that stuff. [Aquarium Drunkard]

I am sorry but this might be the best name for an mp3 mixtape ever - Feel as Good as a Boner Mix, Vol. 2 [HearYa]

Our friendly buddy-types like similar music? What a theory! [Rock Sellout]

Lastly, the Daily Graboid is always kind of awesome, so head there and check it out [The Yellow Stereo]
