Franz Ferdinand announced the new single from their forthcoming record, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.  “Ulysses” will be released on January 19 via Domino [The Line of Best Fit]

Deftones bassist Chi Cheng is in a coma after a car accident Monday night in Santa Clara, CA.  The situation is reportedly very serious.  The band’s next album, Eros, is due in spring 2009 via Warner Bros. [Billboard]
