The election is finally over, so now all us plebs can finally relax.  It’s been two years of non-stop talking heads and projections.  Now everyone can just let it be.  Hopefully.

The Kinks are ever-closer to re-uniting.  However, it all depends “if there’s good music. We want good new music. I’d like to do it as a more collaborative thing than we used to do.”  It would definitely be interesting to hear some new output.  I’ll officially start looking forward to that [BBC]

Franz Ferdinand announced the new single from their forthcoming record, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.  “Ulysses” will be released on January 19 via Domino [The Line of Best Fit]

Deftones bassist Chi Cheng is in a coma after a car accident Monday night in Santa Clara, CA.  The situation is reportedly very serious.  The band’s next album, Eros, is due in spring 2009 via Warner Bros. [Billboard]
