Video Hook-Up: M.I.A. and Blaqstarr – “S.U.S. (Save Ur Soul)”
Told you she wouldn’t be gone for long. Just when we were getting all bummed that we weren’t going to hear from M.I.A. [Official Site, MySpace] for a bit, she went and teamed up with Blaqstarr to create this amazing take off Tom Waits‘ “Way Down in a Hole”, “S.U.S (Save Ur Soul)”.
The original composition was the theme to HBO‘s “The Wire”, a fantastic show according to everyone that has ever watch it (I haven’t!) and M.I.A. revealed her plans to begin working on a new album just last month to NME [link], so I hope this is a sign of things to come because this…is…amazing.
