If you haven’t heard the buzz surrounding Pete And The Pirates [MySpace] after their recent SXSW dates, allow me to be the first to say: holy crap, knock it off and start talking about them now. The Reading quintet are successfully blending elements of power-pop and punk into a refreshingly simple and effing great package. I have spent the better part of the week listening to their 2008 release, Little Death. Pete And The Pirates recently released a single/two-song EP entitled Jennifer/Blood Gets Thin, I wanted to share one of my latest addictions via this great new song, “Jennifer”.

Pitchfork were big fans [Little Death Review] a year ago. We don’t really read Pitchfork unless someone tells us that we have to so we missed out for a bit. This past week, we happened to catch them on WOXY last week and haven’t stopped listening since.
