Video Hook-Up: Fever Ray – “When I Grow Up”

Sure, this song isn’t the newest in the world, but every time this song pops onto my iPod or into iTunes at work, I am blown away. It’s such an amazing track and the use of the pan flute (I think) is really awesome. Consider this the most awesome Enya track ever released by Bjork – the beat sounds like some demo version of “Children” (the Robert Miles tune) I’ve heard, and if you think I am being snobby, let me reiterate that I LOVE THIS SONG.

  1. This is a fantastic track but the lyrics are so ridiculous that it is hard to get past them.

“Last night I drew a funny man
With dog eyes and a hanging tongue
    It goes way back”

    “I’m very good with plants
    When my friends are away
They let me keep the soil moist”

  2. Since I really, really like the beat, I can totally ignore the painfully trivial lyrics
