The Rural Alberta Advantage 7″ Project

gladstone_01

No secret that Radio Exile loves the Rural Alberta Advantage (Myspace). I’m basically convinced that Hometowns is the best album of 2009 (thus far and with apologies to The Antlers). While we wait for this band to take off on a space rocket of Pitchfork hype here in a few weeks, we have some cool news to pass along!

The Rural Alberta Advantage are recording a 7″ and they need your help! Drawing from the old school (as in Renaissance) method of artistic patronage, you can help make this 7″ happen! All the details are here in a amusing little video by the band but to sum up, you can donate anywhere from a $1 to $3,000. The $3,000 donation will get you a private RAA show anywhere in North America. I’m pretty sure that this is what Shawn should get me for my birthday. Hint. Hint.
