New David Gray video, “Fugitive”

fugitivecoverhires

I love David Gray [Official]. You can blame it on his indie hit, “Babylon,” or you can blame it on my first fall in NYC where the wife got me front row seats to see him at Radio City. Maybe it’s that the previously mentioned song’s video playing in an infinite loop at my university’s cafeteria (as did “Yellow” by Coldplay) and seeing how much I detest Coldplay now, I guess I began to compensate in one way or another.

The new album Draw the Line is out September 22 on Downtown Records. David will perform “Fugitive” on David Letterman on September 25. His tour begins in Boston on October 23.

Video and tour dates “after the jump”

I wasn’t the biggest fan of New Day at Midnight, but I am excited for his latest album and think that as he’s become a better, more mature person, his material has really kicked ass. This can’t be said for the other band I mentioned (maybe Chris Martin’s act?) as they have gotten more complacent with time, content to be the “lite” version of a far superior act (read: Radiohead or U2).

Maybe I am just a snob.

Either way, I can’t wait to see him here in New York just after my birthday.

One comment for “New David Gray video, “Fugitive””

  1. the video is cool, but the song is alright, but overall generic and nothing stylistically new for david gray.
