Common to Curate Hennessy Artistry Series

Unknown

Hennessy – the worlds best selling Cognac (an empty bottle was rocketed through the back window of my 2001 Honda Civic by an angry fan after Wrestlemania 22) – has announced the fourth annual addition of the Hennessy Artistry series. This year’s edition features four kickass events – taking place in Chicago, Atlanta, Houston and New York City – that will be curated by one of my favorite MCs of all-time, Common, along with The Roots appearing as the house band. Every night of the tour will also feature a unique blend of performers and collaborators ranging from up-and-coming talent to cameos by iconic special guests.

In the past, The Roots have “blended” with many artists in the past, including Chester French, Lily Allen, Jill Scott, Daniel Merriweather, Erykah Badu and Joss Stone, so these four events are definitely “not to be missed”. Or, if you do miss them, you’re just going to regret it for a wicked long time.

Says Common: “Hennessy is the master of blending, and Artistry, is all about artistic blends of music genre, culture and style. The lineup is coming together nicely. The Roots and I are really collaborating to create a musical blend of talent that will do Artistry justice. We are planning some surprises as well, it should be quite an experience and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”
