Andrew Bird “Does Not Pay a Mine”

andrewbird2

Just got this in my email, so I wanted to share. It’s a performance video of Andrew Bird [MySpace] for GrandCrew.com and while I can’t tell you much about the clip or where it was shot (too much French) but it’s a gorgeous performance. Here’s what Yahoo! Babel Fish thought was being said:

First of all, Andrew Bird did not pay a mine when one l’ saw leaving its cabin. At the moment when it s’ sat and qu’ it has seizure its guitar, c’ is at this time qu’ one included/understood what ” wanted to say; FIAT lux and facta are lux” (How the light is! And the light was) Its agreements full with life, its voice which chirps in the hollow of l’ ear, one s’ fly away with the top of the Strong St-Father in company d’ one of largest the songwriters of the moment. D’ elsewhere, one still planes!

W…T…F?

Noble Beast is out now.

  1. i’ve been pushing andrew bird to everyone i know for the past few yrs. in a weird way, the first song sounds like an extremely quirky version of dylan meets elvis (with whistling).

  3. mouarf thanks google translator

    it’s from La route du rock, a music festival sets in St Malo (french town on the channel) every summer. Looks like it was shot near the fortifications of the town.

    //hope i’m better than internet

    First Andrew Bird didn’t look so great when he went out his dressing room.
    But the moment he sat and he took his guitar we understood the meaning of “fiat lux et facta est lux” (there be light, and there was light).

    The chords so full of life, his twiterring voice in my hears… i flew away above the fortifications of the Fort St Père with one of the biggest songwriter of the moment. And we’re still flying
