While my dreams of soccer glory might have ended in college (let’s face it, I probably wasn’t going to play anywhere of substance), my rock star dreams have lived on past the realization that I do, in fact, have sausage fingers. Combining my love for all things Guitar Hero and footie, well, that definitely got my attention when I saw the clip last night.
The concept of “Football Hero” was dreamed up by Phil Clandilon and Steve Milbourne, the creative geniuses behind Editor’s Street View Hack and will be used to promote the new Kasabian [MySpace] single, “Underdog”. It features a talented bunch of soccer freestylers and three foot high pads like you’d find on the plastic guitars. The difference: they’re playing it with balls that they’ve kicked at the “screen”. It’s ridiculous, it’s amazing, it’s beyond words.

“An experiment to create a giant (three stories high!) guitar game controlled with footballs. Football Hero is played by a team of insanely gifted young freestyle footballers. The game is programmed with the Kasabian track ‘Underdog’.”
