Animal Collective Debuts “In The Flowers” Clip

animalcollective

Ever watch a video and think “this might be ‘art for the sake of make art’ and STILL like it?” Until today, stuff like this would have been lost on me, but after watching this clip for Animal Collective‘s “In The Flowers”, I think I finally “get it”: I think that I am not supposed to get it at all!

You sure showed me, Animal Collective. At least I know why you went through all the trouble of picking out such a weird album cover. If you’re looking for trippy, atmospheric indie, I think I am leaning closer toward Francois Virot or Sin Fang Bous (both of whose albums I adore), but this was such a strong album opener that I couldn’t pass up the chance to share.
