
London’s White Lies recently announced that their new album will be called Ritual and that it will be released on Jan. 17, 2011. The long-awaited follow-up to 2009′s No. 1 album To Lose My Life… has been produced by former Depeche Mode colaborator Alan Moulder in London and will be available in a 7-inch single box set as well as vinyl and CD editions.
The band have also announced their first set of stateside dates to kick off the New Year. The 4 city run in support of their sophomore release, Ritual, that will see the band giving their fans on both coasts a taste of their new music in their exciting live show! Their highly anticipated sophomore effort Ritual will hit on January 18 via Geffen/Fiction.
The album was completed this year at the end of an 18-month world tour in which they have supported Coldplay, Kings of Leon and Muse. Those close to the band have said the record will include many international influences and be much less English-sounding than their debut.
