Radio Exile is run by two relatively young married guys (one of us has a rad beard and the other is a ginger) and staffed with some of the most passionate music lovers around. If it appears we really don’t take ourselves too seriously, it is because we don’t. That’s not what we’re about. We like discovering new artists and meeting new people, sharing our favorites with others and geeking out about our latest obsession.
We used to be “Broken Dial”, but that name sounded like a maladjusted penis, so it was changed.
“We at Radio Exile realize that music is a self-healing medium; when the life seeps out of popular music, there is always a new sound to revitalize it.
In the past, Radio Exile staffers have interviewed Jeff Buckley’s mother Mary Guibert, the Kaiser Chiefs and many emerging acts and top professional wrestlers for sister site Pulse Wrestling. Their efforts culminated in Broken Dial’s 6th place finish in the 2007 BT Digital Music Awards Top Blog awards, losing out to the official blogs of well-known musicians David Gilmour and recording artist, The Streets.
Radio Exile focuses on finding music that is “off-the-radar” and under-appreciated by mainstream music fans, connecting them with like-minded individuals eager to change the landscape of popular media.”

Radio Exile is a work of love and devotion to this glorious, bloggy hype machine that can elevate the artists we love to stars. Consider this a sampling of what you “should” be listening to, and if you like what you hear, buy the albums and support the careers of these artists.
